DESCRIPTION:
WW - Waltham Depolier Khaki trench watch, manual wind, 32mm x 42mm to lug tips, 14mm articulating wire lug width, original sterling silver snap back case with engraved rear reading "T, M, Thompson, Minneapolis, Minn, USA," original cloth Khaki signed one piece adjustable strap, original white enamel dial with radium painted Arabic numerals, 7J, s#21009245, triple signed. This particular watch was owned by a Theodore Melford Thompson who was drafted at the ripe young age of 22 for service in the Great War. It was unclear in our research whether he actually saw combat.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork; excellent dial with small hairline on perimeter at 7; excellent radium hands; tarnished case from years of being worn, several light dings on case back and sides; original Khaki signed crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
